Contemporaneous Crises

I have just received an urgent message to attend a crisis meeting at the headquarters of the Australian Political Reform Club.  Unfortunately, I have also received...

...an urgent message to attend a crisis meeting at the headquarters of the Revolutionary Climatological Needlepoint Committee, and both meetings are planned to take place at the same time, five minutes from now.  What am I to do, dear reader?  Which crisis meeting do you believe should require my presence?

This is the first time there has been a crisis at either the Club or the Committee, as far as I can remember.  If you are unable to advise me as a matter of urgency, perhaps I should call an immediate meeting of my colleagues here at the International Training Centre for the Harmonious Interplay of Beauty, Understanding and Magnificence.  I am sure most of them have had some experience of at least one crisis before.

I know that our distinguished Professor Emerita of Professional and Professorial Portraiture and Feminine Insights, Madame Labille-Guiard, knows something about revolutions, as does Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, our Emeritus Professor of Political Survival.  Madame Labille-Guiard, however, has the added advantage of experiencing a great deal more disadvantage in the past, hence I am more likely to require her creative insights at present.

How do you decide what to do in a crisis, dear reader, especially when another crisis occurs concurrently?  Do you have some experience of disadvantage and contemporaneous crises?

As yet, I am unaware of the nature of the crises in question.  The current situation in my own little villa is certainly not in crisis, and at least five minutes have passed by since I first started writing this blog-pamphlet posting.  I think I may just sit down quietly in my parlour for a while with a cup of tea and await more news.  I am sure I shall be contacted again if my decision-making abilities are truly required.

In the meantime, you may wish to re-examine some of the past situations involving either the Club or the Committee:

I think I shall send a note to Mr Dante Aligieri to join me in the parlour.  You may be aware that he is now our Professor of Environmental Management, Mythology, Apparitional Culture and Epic Poetry. You may also know that I previously drew his attention to some very important matters indeed.
