Art of a Gala

It is sometimes difficult to tell the difference between a gala, a galah and a gallery, and between a festival and a fringe.  Fortunately, most of my colleagues are usually able to assist anyone suffering from...

...any kind of confusion, subject to the appropriate fees, of course.

A tree or a fee?

At present, several of my colleagues are overseas.  Zooey, for example, is currently enjoying the Hong Kong Arts Festival, although its final week will clash with the beginning of the Adelaide Festival.  Professor Pathi and Dr Piscopia are in India, where they are exploring various artistic and literary expressions of culture of a few thousand years.  They will be attending Art Chennai even though that also clashes with the Adelaide Festival.  At present, however, they are having tea near the Ajanta Caves, having recently mingled in the crowds at the Jaipur Literature Festival.

Even the activities in my little villa are often thought to be gala performances.  And the costumes here are sometimes like these, even when they are not intended to be worn at a later date for an opera gala.  I am most interested, of course, in knowing what you plan to wear at any forthcoming arts events, as well as why you are planning to attend those events.  And where will you be stopping off for tea beforehand?
