Enlightened Royal Wedding Commentary

Time in London -  8 am
Time in Adelaide - 4.30 pm

Ethereal members of the wedding party are now all around me in the Pyx Chamber at Westminster Abbey.  We had a very pleasant journey here followed by a peculiarly...

...Australian breakfast.  The remaining chocolate donuts will be donated to charity.

Some earlier wedding timings for ethereal royal wedding guests:

5 am - Arrive grandly on a flotilla of beautiful boats at Westminster Pier, surprising any members of the public who may be in the vicinity.  Proceed by secret tunnel to the College Garden at Westminster Abbey.

6 am -  Breakfast is served in the Jerusalem Chamber

8 am - Finish breakfast and make your way to the Pyx Chamber

Other Sources

ABC Television - The Royal Wedding
I am told that the television coverage starts at 6pm in Australia so I am therefore unsure if Adelaideans will be included in the live coverage of the ceremony in a proper way.  They can, of course, join me here instead.

BBC Television - The Royal Wedding
There will, no doubt, be endless chatter as usual on the BBC by all and sundry.  Democracy is, after all, for all and sundry, whether you are a pipe-smoking anti-monarchist with a privileged upbringing, a grandmother from Grantham with a petit-bourgeous background, or an underprivileged Australian who has recently won the lottery.

Clarence House - The Royal Wedding
You may wish to by-pass the chatter and head to the source.  You may also wish to note that the royal family is not included in the above category of "all and sundry".  It is unconstitutional for some members of the royal family to exercise their own democratic rights.  Many family members decline the right in the interests of monarchical political neutrality.  If you also decline the right to vote, dear voter, what are your reasons for doing so?

Musicians - The Royal Wedding
Monarchy and music have often been intertwined.  You may wish to learn more about the choice of music for the royal wedding.  It is better to do so with information provided by the official royal source.
