...overly simplistic. City life is often a complicated phenomenon. Suburbia is not really less so. Both often use up vast resources.
Wherever you live in the world, whether in Adelaide or another large city, or in a small town, a village or more remotely, how simple or complicated is your way of life?
My efforts
My home tends to be cluttered because I collect books and do not have enough space for most of them. In some ways, it would be nice to live in a bigger house but that would also make life vastly more complicated, more expensive, and create even more housework (which I usually try to avoid).

As part of my effort at simplification, today I am doing more pruning of my blogger profile. This is because no other bloggers have been expressing an interest through their profiles about such topics as the River Murray (I wonder why?), Adelaide's beaches, weather, environment, arts, food, history, heritage, business, intellectuals, literature, and architecture.
The aforementioned topics are amongst those I hope to write more about over the coming months. Are you interested in sharing your opinions with me?
Adelaide living
I have also deleted "Adelaide living" from my profile as that was an interest not shared publicly by other bloggers, either.
The other topics deleted today are "Adelaide media" and "Adelaide news". These things are quite sparse anyway, as you might have seen if you have looked up Adelaide on Google news. The news media here will give you very little information unless you are obsessed with sport, which is the main religion and the main political ideology in Adelaide (and probably in the rest of Australia, too).
Old tables
Another of my interests is big old tables. I find that people who enjoy their meals and home life with others around a big old table are usually far more interesting than most other people. Unfortunately, no other bloggers publicly share my interest in big old tables so I have removed that from my profile, too.
After all that, my blogger profile still contains many complicated ideas to think about. Why do I have such interests when I want a simple life? Why do I collect books? Is it because one of the most enjoyable, simple pleasures in a thoughtful life is the company of a good book?
